SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The Coffee Trust has been providing higher education scholarships to qualified Chajulense youth since 2009. Over 50 university scholarships have been issued. Some of the graduates have opened their own businesses in Chajul. Some are working in the women’s association and the coffee association. Without these scholarships, the education offered to these young people would have otherwise been impossible for them to obtain.

In 2024, The Coffee Trust expanded it’s scholarship reach and is providing 2 scholarships to students in San Juan La Laguna, where we work with our partners of Visión Guatemala Atitlan (VGA).
